Southwest Durham Rotary Club is a not-for-profit charitable foundation committed to service in the local Durham community, in addition to service in North Carolina and abroad. If you have a project or charity you would like to be considered for support from our Rotary club, you may apply for a grant. In addition to requests for funding, grant projects must include a volunteer component in which Rotary members can participate. Volunteer components have included everything from trips abroad to distribute Polio vaccines to assisting in building community gardens to making and serving meals.
Any and all grant requests will be considered, though grant requests with a focus on education, healthcare and food insecurity/hunger are most likely to be funded.
If you would like your project to be considered by the Southwest Durham Rotary Club, please download a project/grant request form here. Grant request are generally in February of each year for the upcoming fiscal year, which runs July-June.
If you have a project you’d like for us to work with you on, the best way to start is to present a program at one of our Thursday lunch meetings so our members may get to know you and your organization. If you are interested in speaking to our Rotary club, please email us here.
Southwest Durham Rotary Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization; donations are generally tax-deductible (please check with your tax professional).
